Managed Services

CIBER’s Managed Services are comprised of a number of offerings, ranging from entry level Health Check Services through to Remote Facilities Management, Outsourcing and fully Hosted Solutions - all designed to help you maintain system development and optimise system performance to a programme of Continuous Operations Improvement.

Health Check Service

To keep your SAP System(s) running as optimally as possible, SAP Best Practice advocates a prescriptive monitoring schedule. Normally this monitoring is undertaken by the customer’s own SAP Administrator. In situations where SAP administrative resources are limited in terms of capacity and/or experience, this can often be overlooked. The Health Check service is intended to remove this burden via the provision of pro-active system monitoring, thus enabling customers to use their own resources more cost effectively.

Pro-active System Monitoring is specifically aimed at problem prevention and optimal system performance through a combination of activities designed to ensure normal running of the SAP system.

The following activities are included in the service:

  • Provide a pro-active system monitoring function consisting of an agreed schedule of formal Health Check events carried out by experienced SAP consultants. Checks will be predominantly performed remotely, but scheduled on-site time is also allocated at regular intervals
  • Report all identified issues and recommend resolution strategy
  • Resolve minor issues and undertake remedial activities within the ‘Contracted Time’
  • Configuration of complimentary SAP tools (eg. Early Watch Alert) where practicable
  • Pro-actively escalate critical issues
  • Provide planning assistance for significant maintenance events

Remote Facilities Management

Administering an SAP landscape is a recognised industry skill and as such, employing dedicated resources to fulfil this requirement comes at a premium. This can also be compounded by initial and on going training costs to maintain this skill. CIBER Remote Facilities Management negates the need for you to employ a dedicated SAP Systems Administrator.

As a minimum, this service includes all the deliverables of the CIBER Health Check, plus the resolution of any system issues encountered and all administrative maintenance activities. The service is designed to provide customers with the flexibility to extend the scope of the Facilities Management. This is achieved by selecting from a predefined range of activities - those you wish to retain in-house and those you wish to be managed externally as part of the service. Examples of such activities would be: Transport Management, User Administration, Printer Management, Authorisations, Performance Tuning, Client Maintenance.

Outsourcing
